I’m interested in the moment just before the feeling of expansion occurs.
The point where perception shifts before the emotion begins.
A convergence of gaze, of spatial sensors in the body, of the vestibular and orienting systems and of sound and movement.
I wonder if this convergence informs the nervous system response or whether the nervous system shift comes first? I don’t know that part, yet. But I am intrigued by the possibility that a form of sensory convergence may exist pre-cognitively, before a feeling is consciously registered as expansion.
I composed a short piece of music to this sky footage. It is on instagram if you would like to see it. I’d love to know your thoughts on feelings of expansion and sensing space.
